MTBT is a tool that allows you to update your Mediatek-based headphones/earbuds to a certain firmware version, directly from your browser.

Requirements:
  • a computer with Bluetooth
  • Windows, MacOS, or Linux
  • a Chromium-based browser (like Chrome, or Edge, for example)

The "bundled firmware" option is for quick access to various firmware versions that are of interest at the moment.

Otherwise, you can check out the MDR Proxy archive for various firmware files. Usually, the "00" variant for a model is a good one to use (for example MDRID299800).

Not all models have other variants available for the "01", "02", or "03" codes (you will notice that other variants sometimes have "sameas" in the "firmware file" name, which means that only the "00" variant is available).
